Caloplaca thallincola – Thallus crustose with distinct lobed margin (placodioid), usually forming neat circular, bright orange patches. Fruiting bodies up to 1mm diam. In centre of thallus , convex orange discs with paler margins. K+ crimson. Grows better in shade on sheltered shores just within the black zone, often with Caloplaca marina.
